Come far durare il tuo profumo più a lungo

How to make your perfume last longer

The fragrance we wear is more than just a scent: it can become a lifelong companion, capable of representing us always and even entering our memories.
When you find the perfect one for you, it becomes your signature, a true distinguishing mark.

However, even the most enveloping scent can fade too quickly. Our brain, in fact, gets used to familiar smells and stops perceiving them. Have you ever noticed that your favorite fragrance seems to disappear halfway through the day? It doesn't just depend on the formula, but also on how and where you apply it.

Where to apply perfume is important

Certain areas of the body retain fragrance better due to the heat they emit. Apply perfume to pulse points such as the neck, wrists, and behind the ears. The warmth intensifies the fragrance, making it last longer. The inside of the elbows or knees can also be an excellent choice!

Hydration and longevity

Your skin plays a fundamental role in how long perfume lasts. Dry skin absorbs fragrance more quickly, so moisturizing it with a neutral cream before applying perfume can help prolong its persistence.

The importance of hair and clothes

Hair retains fragrance longer than skin. A light spray on your hair can extend its duration, but be careful not to apply it directly to your hair, especially if it's dry or treated. It's better to spray a few drops of perfume on your brush before combing.

Alternatively, spraying it on clothes, preferably natural fabrics like cotton or wool, helps to keep it for longer. Just one caveat: check the formulation to avoid stains.

Layers of fragrance?

Another trick to make perfume last longer is to apply a scented cream or oil of the same fragrance, creating a base that amplifies its persistence. The use of complementary products, such as coordinated shower gels or lotions, can make a big difference.

Coordinate the perfume with your mood

Every moment of the day has its rhythm. For example, applying perfume after a hot shower, when the pores are open, can increase the longevity of the perfume and make the well-being last even longer.

Some olfactory notes, such as amber, wood, musks, and woody notes, are particularly resistant and remain on the skin for many hours, making them ideal for those who want a fragrance that lasts up to 24 hours.

Finally, opting for an extrait de parfum, with a high concentration of perfumed oils (20-30%), guarantees greater persistence without the need for frequent applications.

In short, to make your perfume accompany you all day, a few simple steps and a little attention to detail are enough.
