The creation of Solo® starts from a scientific assumption: by lifting weights, the contractile component of the muscle, called myofibril, not only increases its volume but also the number of myofibrils inside and their utilization capacity, all because of contraction.
The face has superficial striated muscles, called mimics, physiologically identic to the ones in the body: from here the idea of applying ergonomic weights on the facial and neck muscles, according to the same principle by which weights are used to tone the striated musculature of the body.
Solo® represents the result of the application of these principles in a singular solution: a trademarked facial free weight of 225 grams that, when applied to different zones, allows the training of the facial and neck muscles.
The study behind the 3 minutes
The three minutes of daily workout, through which Solo®is applied, arose from a reasoning that relates the total number of the voluntary striated muscles of the body (approximately 500) to the number of muscles involved by the practice with Solo® (25).
While the total number of mimics muscles are 49, those activated by the Solo®’s muscular work are 25, namely the superficial ones that allow the expressiveness of our face; excluded are the deep mimic muscles related to the movements of the tongue, pharynx, jaw, larynx or hyoid bone (the remaining 24).
The relation between muscles and training time
To reach the suggested training time, so the 3-minutes workout, we considered the ratio between the number of total muscles (500) and the number of muscles activated by Solo® (25), and the same ration (500/25=20) has been applied to the training time.
Established that the needed time to train all the body with weights and obtain satisfying results is 60 minutes, by applying the aforementioned ratio (60/20) the resulting time is precisely 3 minutes.
Since we are referring to a unique product, the reasoning behind the time of functional usage has been subsequently verified through laboratory tests, which have demonstrated that 3 minutes is an adequate time to obtain desired results.
